Adult Lifelong
Learning Services Committee
To promote public
library advisory, instructional, and informational programs and services
relating to literacy, and basic education, continuing education, lifestage/role
training and career choice/planning; to advocate the use of library-based
self-directed study as well as more traditional learning modes; to stimulate
continued professional growth in these areas; to provide a forum for the
exchange of related research, strategies, techniques, and activities;
and to create an environment for the discussion of the expanding educational
role of the public library.
