Adult Continuing
and Independent Learning Services
To identify,
assemble, and make widely available information about existing continuing
and independent learning and resources in public libraries; to keep up
with developments in continuing and independent learning in other types
of libraries and in other fields; to promote public library involvement
in continuing and independent learning; to cooperate with other ALA divisions,
clusters, offices, and committees, concerned with different aspects of
continuing and independent learning; to generate ideas for cluster programs
and publications.
