Legislation
To formulate
and recommend to the Public Library Association Board of Directors Legislative
objectives which promote and enhance public libraries and librarianship.
To take appropriate steps to increase the awareness of public librarians
and public supporters in the legislative process and to motivate there
participation in legislative activity at all levels of government. To
monitor legislative at the various levels of government and to inform
the PLA Board and membership of legislative relevant to public libraries
and to recombined action as appropriate. To maintain a liaison relationship
with the ALA Legislation Committee, the Legislation Assembly, and other
groups with like interests.
